George W. Harris, Sr. was born on April 16, 1928, to the union of Tommy Lee and Rosetta Harris in Mississippi. He received his formal education at Morning Star School in Eden, Mississippi. George attended church service at St. Paul COGIC with Elder Water Piggy until it's closing. George then became a very active and engaging Minister attending all services and activities at St. Matthew COGIC under the leadership of Elder John Scott both churches are in Yazoo City, Mississippi. George was employed by Allis Chalmers and A.O. Smith in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until the late 70's. He "loved" riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. George enjoyed working with his hands and built a home in Yazoo City, Mississippi, where he returned to live in the late 1970's. His hobbies were working on trucks and cars and working on his house. He was a Prince Hall Mason. George was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Lee Harris, Sr. and Rosetta Harris; daughters, Beverlee' Williams and Chequita Harris. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of thirty-nine years, Irene Harris; children, Emma Jean Trimble of Iowa; Marlene (Tim) Wheeler of West Bend, WI; George Jr. (Karen) Harris of Mequon, WI; Saidah Binns of Chicago, IL and Nicole (Adrian) Buck e); of Milwaukee, WI; stepchildren, Albert Smith of lowa, Sherry Harris of Chicago, IL, Dr. Dorothy Thomas, Ronald Franklin, Maurice (Jackie) Franklin, and Yvonne Williams, all of Memphis , TN; siblings, Bertha Moore of Milwaukee, WI; Roberta Stanton of Chicago, IL; Tommy Lee Harris Jr. of Milwaukee, WI; Annie Rene (Timothy) Slaughter of Atlanta, GA; Minnie Lee Hawthorne of Yazoo City, MS; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
