Mrs. Georgia Parrett

July 21, 1928 - September 5, 2021

Georgia Parrett was born on July 21, 1928, to the union of Magnolia Strong Macon and Jim Macon in Scott County, Mississippi. She received her formal education at Scott County Training High School. She furthered her education at Jackson State College, where she became a teacher. Georgia attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church in her early childhood in Forest, Mississippi. She later became a faithful member of Siloah Lutheran Church until her death. On July 3, 1952, Georgia Strong was united in holy matrimony with Lee Otis Parrett in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their union was blessed with seven children. She was employed at St. Luke's Hospital for 32 years as an Anesthesia Tech. She retired in 1984. In her leisure, she enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking. Georgia Parrett departed this life on September 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; Magnolia Strong Macon and Jim Macon; sister, Marie Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory; children, Billie Ellis of Milwaukee, WI; James (Karen) Parrett of Milwaukee, WI; Lamar (Angela) Parrett of Texas; Michael Parrett, Stewart Parrett, Kathy Parrett, and Anthony Parrett all from Milwaukee, WI; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Sleep on Mama, take your rest, we love you, but God loves you best.
