Ms. Gwendolyn Evette (Reed) Bond
December 16, 1971 - April 1, 2022
On December 16, 1971, the spirit came down and wrapped itself in a gown of flesh. On April 1, 2022, the spirit un-gowned and went back from whence it came. This spirit from God was named, Gwendolyn Evette Reed. She was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was born to the union of Cherry Reed and Wendell Butler. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Gwendolyn Bond. The doctors had originally given her 3 months to live. Even though pancreatic cancer plagued her for approximately 2 years, she was thankful for her being alive. Her pain and agony subsided on April 1 st. Gwen passed in her home surrounded by many loved ones and family. Everyone showed a huge deal of love, care and support. Gwen was 50 years young when she transitioned. Upon transitioning, she had an expression of relief. She was happy to leave in the presence of family knowing that her salvation was sealed and God will welcome her into Heavens gates. Gwen crossed over on April 1 st the same day that her cousin Jackie died and late grandfather, Walter Butler birthday. No words can really describe the impact Gwen left on everyone around her. Gwen loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking many different types of food, we could say she was the best cook in the family. Outside of her love for cooking, she was obsessed with shopping. Gwen took great pride in her home decor, always maintaining a beautiful home. Keeping up with the latest shows and movies was another way Gwen liked to use her free time. Nonetheless, Gwen was always wrapped around family, love, morals and values. She will truly be missed by her children and grandchildren as she has and will always be the glue to the family. Gwendolyn was an exceptional mother, sister, daughter, wife, friend and co-worker to many. She worked as a job Recruiter for Manpower, where she assisted many people with their careers. Not only was Gwen smart, supportive, hardworking, and dependable she also always came with a listening ear for whatever your may have been dealing with at the time.
