Mr. Ivory Lee Jefferson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ivory Lee Jefferson Sr. was born on July 9, 1963, to the union of Lena Mae Jefferson and ML Smith in Shelburne, Louisiana. Ivory spent the majority of his childhood in Lake Providence, Louisiana. He received his formal education within the East Carroll Parish School District. He moved to Milwaukee, WI when he was 16 years old. He lived in Florida and Texas briefly. Ivory accepted Christ as his Lord & Savior at age 19. He was united with Mt. Zion Healing Temple where he served as a faithful member for 35 years. In 2008, he was ordained as an Elder by Bishop Earl Parchia Sr. Ivory served as an Armor Bearer under the leadership of Bishop Parchia until his passing in 2010. On June 26, 1982, Ivory Jefferson united in holy matrimony with Lisa Ann Robbins in Milwaukee, WI. Their union was blessed with 3 children. Ivory was the epitome of a self- made man! He moved to Milwaukee with very little knowledge of the construction industry. After a few years of being an apprentice, he started Jefferson Construction in September 1986. Through hard work, dedication, and assistance from Ivory departed this life and his brothers, Jefferson Construction If became one of the most successful black owned construction companies It in the city of Milwaukee. Ivory's love of construction led him into the real estate field. Ivory successfully invested in real estate throughout the country. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, gardening and carpentry. Ivory departed this life and transitioned to the heavenly realm on July 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by: parents, Lena Mae Jefferson and ML Smith Sr.; brothers, Cornell Jefferson, Kensie Lee Smith, and Michael Jefferson; and sisters, Ethel Harris and Lillie Jefferson. He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Erio (Shelton) McClure, Ebony C. Jefferson, and Ivory Jefferson Jr.: four grandsons, Langston Ivory McClure, Harlen Jefferson-Thomas, Lawson McClure, and Bryant Jefferson- Thompson; siblings, ML Smith Jr.. Gloria Jefferson, Joanne Jefferson, Diane (Jimmie) Closure, Gertie (William) I Carroll, Von (Lola) Jefferson, Dale Jefferson, and MacArthur Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
