Rev. Jeoffrey L. Shropshire was a native of Springfield, OH, born to Mr. Fred D. and Thomas Helen Shropshire. Rev. Shropshire was a father, husband, preacher of the Gospel and endeavored to love God and love people with all his heart, soul, and mind. He was born on August 15, 1950 and received his eternal rest on March 5, 2021. Rev. Shropshire accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord and was baptized at the age of seven years old, at his home church Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Central State University in Wilberfarce, Ohio, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Atlanta. University in Atlanta, Georgia, a Master of Theology with a focus on Bible Exposition from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas, and a Master of Education in Administrative Leadership from National Louis University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rev. Shropshire faithfully preached the Word of God for more than 40 years, preaching the Bible verse by verse, breaking down the text with enthusiasm and life-related illustrations to motivate believers to practical application. Rev. Shropshire had a spiritual gift of teaching and enjoyed teaching the Word of God to the people of God. Rev. Shropshire served as a certified instructor for the Wisconsin General Baptist State Convention Congress of Christian Education and as a lecturer and preacher at various churches within the state of Wisconsin and throughout the country. Additionally, Rev. Shropshire served as an Adjunct Professor at both Bishop Co. liege and Dallas Baptist University. Civically, he served as Board Member of Racine's Common Council's Weed and Seed Program, Racine YMCA, Past President of the' Racine Inter-Faith Coalition Ministerial Caucus, past Yice-Presuienr of the Ministerial Alliance of Racine/Kenosha, and Past 4th Vice-President of the Wisconsin General Baptist State Convention, Inc; among other endeavors, Reverend Shropshire enjoyed traveling, working out and enjoying cultural events with his wife, Carolyn. He found great joy i.n spending time with his sons Christopher and Jonathan, loved watching college football and basketball (particularly Ohio State) and was a voracious reader. Reverend Shropshire leaves to. celebrate his life, his wife, Carolyn D, Shropshire, sons Christopher L. (Ana) Shropshire of Texas, Jonathan L. Shropshire of Pennsylvania, Corey (Ericka) Tipton of Wisconsin, Timothy Morris of Arizona, and Rodney (Sheila) Morris of Wisconsin, one nephew Frederick (Qiana). Shropshire of Ohio, fifteen grandchildren, one great nephew, one great niece and a host of friends and loved ones.
