Mrs. Willie Earnestine Burton

January 27, 1932 - December 25, 2020

Willie Earnestine Burton was born on January 27, 1932, to the union of Fannie Mae and J.K. Lloyd in Lambert, Mississippi. Willie received her formal education at Lambert Mississippi High School. She accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and was united with Greater Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Superintendent, Deaconette, and Missionary Usher. In July 1949, Willie Earnestine Llyod was united in holy matrimony with Charles Burton, Jr. in Lambert, MS. Their union was blessed with four children. She was employed by American Can Company as a machine operator for many years. In her leisure, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, church activities, spending time with her family (children, grandchildren, great grandchildren), traveling, and family gatherings with food and love. Willie Earnestine Burton departed this life on December 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Mae Austin; father, J.K. Llyod, sisters, James Earlene Woods, and Fannie Mae Cobb; and grandsons, J.K. Burton, [r., and Patrick McCloud. She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Charles Burton; four children, J.K. Burton, Sr., Patricia Victor McCloud, Charles Bqrton, Ill, and Veronica Burton; eight grandchildren; one sister, isy Grimms; and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
