Ms. Anna Pearl Norwood

Anna Pearl Norwood was born on September 20, 1953, to George Holloway and Robbie Sue Rainey in Milan, Tennessee. Anna received her formal education in Chicago, Illinois. She later attended Malcom X College, in Chicago, Illinois for a few years. Even though Anna did not attend church regularly, she still believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Early in life, Anna met and married Tommie Lee Norwood, Jr. Anna had three beautiful children: Pamela Lynn, Toi-kay Lorraine, and Kevin Attucks. Anna managed Norwood Liquor Store for many years while living in Chicago. She later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she worked at Marshal & Isley Bank as a bank teller for several years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, even though they would be quick stays (she did not like company for a longtime). She liked her scratch offs and slots. The three amigos (her mother, aunt Peggy and her) loved to go to Potawatomi Hotel and Casino. When it was not the three amigos, it would be the dynamic duo (her and Kevin). She loved playing spades and bid-whiz. She loved listening to her Blues & Jazz. Her favorites were "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul, "Give Me the Night" and "Breezin" by George Benson. Finally, she loved to eat, corned beef sandwiches, loaded ham & cheese cousin sub or a shoulder dinner from Speed Queen Barbeque. She would then top it off with her strawberry shake, Pepsi or Lipton iced tea. Anna Pearl Norwood departed this life on Monday, May 31,2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Holloway and Robbie Sue Rainey; sister, Carolyn Holloway; uncles, Bennie C. Frames (Verdie) and Jimmy L. Hutchinson (Virginia); aunts, Mary Thomas, Peggy A. Jordan (Clarence), and Ruby Holloway; nephews, Clifford Lorenzo Holloway and Sammie Jenkins Jr.: cousin, Michael Reed and brother-in- law, Sammie Jenkins. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Pamela L . Holloway, Toi-kay L. (Cambric) Robinson, Jr.. and Kevin A. Norwood; sisters, Pin key Alexander, Margaret Jenkins and Sherry L. Monroe (Bobby); grand-children, DiAngelo Holloway (Donna), LaQetiaa Wiley (Antwon), O'Neal Wiley Jr.. Shakilya L. Wright, O'Neachi Wiley, Kevin Augusta Norwood, Alicia Webb, Keishawn Norwood, Jadah Webb, Markel Holloway and Kevin Devon Norwood; great-grand-children, Kahmani Wiley, DiAngelo Holloway Jr.. Gabriel Wiley, Londyn Hollins, Antwon Jemison Jr.. O'Neachi Wiley Jr .. Kendell Odom, Aiyonna Jemison, O'Mere Wiley, Aubree Jemison, Cornelius Kobe Wiley, Khristian Odom and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
