Ms. Ashley M. Coleman

Ashley Michelle Coleman was born on April 23, 1991, to Murray Avery and Lorenzo Coleman in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her formal education at Vincent High School, where she learned to be a social butterfly. She accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of five. Ashley will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, big heart, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. She was energetic, fun loving and the one who could walk into any room and make others feel welcomed and comfortable. She had a natural ability to get along with everyone. and her presence was often filled with laughter, music and light. Above all, Ashley loved her son, Denzel. With him being her greatest pride and joy she constantly checked on him, encouraged him, and wanted nothing more than for him to continue making her proud. Her love for family extended beyond her son; she adored her nieces and nephews and never hesitated to get down to their level to play, laugh, and make memories. Ashley had many gifts and passions. She was an excellent cook who brought people together with her meals. She loved the water and had a love for style and self-expression so much so that she displayed this love to all who would see her on social media. Her love for animals was undeniable, especially for her beloved cats, Liley and Trouble, whom she affectionately called her babies. Ashley Michelle Coleman departed this life on February 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her: mother, Murray Avery; brother, Damion; and bonus father, Edward Moreland Jr. She is survived by her: son, Denzel Dixon-Moreland; father, Larenzo (Ding) Coleman; sisters, Kendra Coleman, Loretta Coleman, Asha Coleman, and Aleta Askew-Cain; bonus sisters, Rashida Moore-Buford, Leah Moreland, and Serina Moreland; beloved mother. Ingrid Moreland; grandmother, Gwen McCalla; step-grandfather, Llewelyn (Danny) McCalla; and a host of nieces and nephews who will eternally remain special to her. Ashley's life touched many people. Her energy, warmth, and love will be missed beyond measure. Though her time with us was far too short, the memories she created that were filled with love, laughter, and connection will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
