Mrs. Beverly Mosley

Beverly (Russell) Mosley "Bev" was born on June 7, 1949 to the union of Earl and La Verna (Meyer) Russell. She was born at home on the south side of Chicago, Illinois and moved to Cabrini-Green housing project on the north side of Chicago in the mid-50's. She attended Edward Jenner Grade School and Edwin G. Cooley and Robert A. Waller High Schools. Beverly enlisted into the United States Air Force after graduating from Waller High School. After Bev was honorably discharged from the military in August of 1968, she attended Malcolm X Community College and later worked for the government until she was medically retired. Her most recent employment was at the VA regional office in Milwaukee for close to 20 years.Bev married Clarence Mosley in March of 1978. Their union was blessed with two girls. Bev was blessed with a "uniquely sassy" character. She was quite "vocal" and would give you a piece of her mind, whether you wanted it or not. She would often keep children and take them on adventures they had never experienced before. They loved to spend time with Bev and she loved to spend time with them. She enjoyed listening to music, reading, socializing with friends and family, crossword puzzles and participating in various veterans activities and outings. Bev was a member of Holy Family Lutheran Church in Chicago. As a young adult she was a member of Zebaoth Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and later reaffirmed her faith and studied and baptized at Greater Mt. Sinai C.O.G.l.c. in Milwaukee. On March 5, 2020, Beverly Mosley departed this life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Mosley; and parents, Earl Sr. and La Verna Russell. She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Nicole Mosley and Melissa Mosley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three brothers, Charles Simmons of Kansas, Thomas (April) Russell of Chicago, IL, Earl Russell of Chicago, IL; one sister, Myrna (Clarence) Russell of Milwaukee, WI; six grandchildren, Coron, Amaray, Eliana, Niray, Chelsea and Nigel; a very special childhood friend who was recently reunited with after over 30 years, Eva Dell Penderbay of Chicago, IL; and many family and friends too numerous to name.
