Mrs. Billie Ann Hood

Billie Ann Parker was born on April 18, 1932 to Harvey & Essie Parker in Atlanta, Georgia. She departed this life Monday February 4th, 2019. The youngest of nine siblings. Growing up in Atlanta, she attended Lynwood Park School in Dekalb, Atlanta. She accepted Christ at an early age, while attending the family church, China Grove Missionary First Baptist Church located in Atlanta, GA. She united in marriage to John Hood in 1950. Desiring to improve herself, Billie decided to follow her sister and two brothers who had moved to Milwaukee, WI she joined them in 1951 where she took a job at American Linen Services and worked happily for many years. Billie enjoyed working and spending time socializing with others. She was well known for walking all throughout the neighborhood, visiting neighbors and walking to Capital Court, to do a little shopping and if you knew her, you knew you could always find her in someone's Jewelry store. Yes, yes, Diamonds were her best friend. Billie mostly enjoyed time spent with her son Bobby, who took her anywhere she wanted to go, and I do mean ANYWHERE! She enjoyed so many moments with her grandchildren, sitting and talking. She loved watching them play, as they grew up, just seeing the smiles upon their faces, always made her day. These were some of the most pleasant moments in her life as she took great pleasure in watching them grow up to become successful contributors to society. She also enjoyed going to church and praising the Lord. Mt Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church was her "Milwaukee" church family, she enjoyed being among those saints. The fellowship was always great! She enjoyed her gospel music, but still had a sweet spot for the Blues, Bobby Blue Band and B.B. King were two of her favorites. Billie has been preceded in death by Essie & Harvey Parker, (parents), Harvey Jr, Rosa, Juanita, Maudeen, Sonny, Odessa (Brothers & Sisters). She is survived by Annie B. Roberts (Sister), and TJ Parker (Brother), Bobby Parker (Son), Izeal Hood (Son), Betty & Kurt Gray (Daughter & Son in law), Grandchildren: Nicole, Bobby, Robert, Charlie, Qiana, Jessica, Earl, Jarrod and Zorin. She leaves behind her large treasure of beautiful ~ grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. ~
