Mrs. Frances Louise Morgan

Frances Louise Morgan was born on February 8, 1936 in Tallassee, Alabama. She was the first of three children inspired by the union of Johnny Dailey and Lydia Dailey (Mclntosh). She was the paternal granddaughter of Lover, and her namesake, Frances Mclntosh. Louise, as she was known as a child and young adult, accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age. She was a member of Reeltown Baptist Church in her youth in her native Alabama and later was a longtime member of Unity Baptist Church on the westside of Chicago. Louise was smart, beautiful and athletic. She graduated from Wall Street High School in 1955. In high school, she was an outstanding student and a fierce competitor in basketball and softball. After graduation, she distinguished herself as a hard hitting first baseman for the town team, the Wall Street Lady Invaders. Her moon shot home runs are still legendary in Tallassee. In 1956, Louise was united in holy matrimony with James Allen Morgan, also of Tallassee, Alabama. She was the proud mother of six: Michael, Lakeitha, Steve, Darryl, Debra and Angela. Frances Louise was a devoted mother. She stressed the importance of education, and insisted that her children attend school and do well. She was proud to have four of her children attend and graduate from college. Frances Louise passed on to her children her love of reading, and the importance lifelong learning. Frances Louise was 'a sports enthusiast and a devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. During her lifetime, the Cardinals won 8 World Series, becoming the second most successful baseball franchise in America. She took full credit for the Cardinals success. For her it was the spiritual connection and guidance she provided from afar. Frances Louise loved people. Her door was always open to family and neighborhood friends. She was a kind and loving person with a big and generous heart. As she grew older she loved sitting on her front porch with her next door neighbor, Ms. Beulah, and with one of the many dogs her nephew and grandson brought to the house. She loved her neighbors, and she really loved those dogs. Frances Louise made her heavenly transition on January 17, 2016, a few weeks short of her 80th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Dailey and Lydia Dailey; brother, Emanuel Dailey; sister, Viola Hayes; three daughters, Lakeitha, Debra and Angela Morgan and nephew, Billy Dailey. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sons, Michael Lee (Diana) Morgan, Steven Allen (jennifer) Morgan and Darryl Morgan; grandchildren, Nakia D. (Cecelia) Walls, Jennifer (Antonio) Avery, Danielle Morgan, Frances Morgan, Steven Morgan and Nickolas Doherty; great grandchildren, Esmee Morgan Noel, Gregory Smith, Robert Michael Morgan Avery, Nadiri Ali Morgan Thompson and Lahli Coleman.
