Rev. James Willis Hubbard Sr.

Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr. was born on July 19, 1960, to the union of Idell Hubbard and Frank Jones in Belzoni, Mississippi. Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr. received his formal education within the Milwaukee Public School system. After, high school. Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr. had served some years as a marine in the United States Marine Corps; he was later honorably discharged. Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr. accepted Christ at an early age at Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained by the late Pastor Fred Boyd at Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr. also was a member under the late Bishop Albert Tatum Sr. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr. was united in holy matrimony to Colossiana Spinks on March 19, 1984, at the Milwaukee County courthouse. Reverend James W. Hubbard, Sr. was a God-fearing, praying man. Every time you saw Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr., he talked about God. He also had a huge sense of humor. Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr. was a career truck driver at Shepard's Trucking. In his leisure, Reverend W. Hubbard Sr. loved go bowling. He was a master at bowling; no one could beat him. He also loved to cook, and most importantly, he loved to spend time with his family. Reverend James W. Hubbard Sr. transitioned into glory on January 30, 2024. He was preceded in death by his: son, James W. Hubbard Jr.: mother, Idell Hubbard; father, Frank Jones; father-in-law, Colossian Spinks; sister, Barbara Ann Blunt; brother, Terrill Blunt; grandmother, Estella Hubbard; and other family members. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Colossiana Ann Hubbard; two Godsons, Montreal Davis and Kendrick Spinks; mother-in-law, Hazel Spinks; sister- in-law, Kimberly Spinks; four brothers-in- law, James (Vanessa Spinks), Terrance Spinks, Anthony Spinks, and Scott Spinks; two sisters, Niokee (Brian) Brown, and Sherry (Willie) Humphrey; one brother, Tirrell Hubbard-Baker of Milwaukee, WI; three aunts, Joe Arnol Hubbard,Viola Mc'Ullum, of Milwaukee WI. and Velvert J. Hubbard-Hom (Alvertis) of Little Rock, AR; uncle, Gradie C. Hubbard; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends of Milwaukee, WI. Also, leaves a great best friend Tony Tatum.
