Mr. Jerry "J.D" Triplett

Jerry (J.D.) Triplett was born March 10th,1933 to William and Elizabeth Triplett in Carthage, MS. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Christian Union MB Church. Jerry started farming at a very young age. He also worked as a lumberjack in his teenage years. He met Daisy Johnson in 1952 while eating at her family's restaurant. He knew she would be his wife and wanted to provide a better life for her. On July 4"', 1955, Jerry moved to Milwaukee, WI. He was hired at Miller Compressing Company where he worked hard and saved money to start a home for his soon to be family. Jerry returned to Carthage and married Daisy on July 23rd, 1956. He moved her to Milwaukee, where they stayed happily married for 66 years. To their union 10 children were born. Debra Triplett of Milwaukee, WI. Theresa Triplett of Milwaukee, WI. Mona Banks of Milwaukee, WI. Jeanette Triplett of Racine, WI. Jerome Triplett (Deceased). Vanessa (Benjamin) Gilmore of Milwaukee, WI. Daphne Triplett of Milwaukee, WI. Willie Triplett of Milwaukee, Wl., Jeri (Sarnuel) Ross of Miami Beach, FL. and LaKisha Peace of Chandler, AZ. Jerry worked for Miller Compressing Company for 41 years. He was a prime example of what it means to have a strong work ethic. He worked 10 to 15 hours a day to provide for his family while his wife stayed home and raised the children. Jerry was a devoted Christian. He attended St. James Missionary Baptist Church. He listened to Bible CDS daily. And when he couldn't make it to church, he watched Dr. Charles Stanley of InTouch Ministries. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball with his brothers-in-law. He loved fishing and hunting with his sons. He loved putting puzzles together and gardening with his wife. He loved watching sports, especially Milwaukee Bucks games with his daughter Jeri. And he especially loved the holidays when the house was filled with family, and the aroma of his wife's cooking. Jerry departed life on December 11, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents; William (Maybell) Triplett and Elizabeth (Jesse) Benson. His sister Jennie LeFlore. His brothers; Ephriam Triplett and Jerry Triplett. His beautiful and loving wife, Daisy Triplett, and son, Jerome Triplett. To cherish his legacy, Jerry leaves eight daughters and one son, one brother; Terry (Minnie) Triplett of Carthage, MS., one brother-in-law; Wilburt Bounds of Milwaukee, WI., sisters-in-law; Everlean Bounds-Gray (Lou},Jerline (Raven) Bounds, Betty Bounds, Lena Bounds, Patricia Bounds and Lillie Bounds-Claybrooks of Milwaukee, WI., eleven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
