Ms. Lillie Pearl Scott

Lillie Pearl Scott was born on February 27, 1930, in Fairhope, Alabama. She was the 9th child born to the union of Simuel and Jennie Scott. Lillie attended Baldwin County Training School through the 11 th grade. Playing basketball was one of the things she did at school. She moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1950, following her mother, and sister, Simmie. Lillie, better known as Jackie, mode extra money doing hair at home after working in other people's homes for a living. She decided to complete her education at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). She earned her license in cosmetology and her proprietor's license. Jackie began working at Scott's Beauty Solon in 1965 with her sister- in-low, Naomi Scott. In 1969, she began working with her sister, Annette, at Annette's World of Beauty. She finally opened her own shop, Jackie's House of Style, in 1972. She worked in her own shop unti12011. She then helped her great-nephew, Jarton, at Joy's Barbershop. She worked at Joy's until 2014. Jackie was on avid bowler and bowled in leagues for many years. Some other enjoyments in her life were going on cruises and going to the casino to ploy slots and bingo. She would have friends and family over to ploy spades; attending would be her brother-in-law, Mac, nephew, Freemon, niece, Annie, and other family and friends. Of course, a nice meal was included. She was the treasurer for the Scott Family Reunion, usually setting up the bus trips and payment schedules. Her grand kids really loved to visit and would fight about who was staying the night because they wonted her all to themselves. Lillie Pearl Scott deported this life on Friday, May 12, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. Preceding her in death were: daughter, Beverly Jamison-Scott; son-in-law, Michael Locklear; parents, Jennie and Simuel Scott; brothers, Joseph, Willie D., Nathaniel, Augustus, Fate, and Charles Scott; and sisters, Cecila Semons, Rosetta Fore, Viola Stewart, Anne Mc Nealy, and Simmie Allen. She leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Annette Blackmon of Riverdale, GA; daughter, Patricio (Bill) Roby of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Bettye Locklear; sons, Karl (patricio) Scott and Darryl Scott, both of Milwaukee, WI, and Kenneth (Benito) Scott of Kokomo, IN; sisters-in- low, Sandra Renfro-Scott of Houston, TX, and Lanell Scott; special niece, Carolyn Mosely of Milwaukee, WI; 13 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends . ..
