He received his formal education through the Greendale School District and. proudly earned his high school diploma from Greendale High School. Lonnie lived a life defined by love, purpose, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a man of quiet strength, deep compassion, and genuine kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His determination and work ethic were evident in everything he pursued. Throughout his career, Lonnie wore many hats, but he took great pride in being an entrepreneur, building opportunities for himself while providing for those he loved most. On April 4, 2026, Lonnie united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Tazameasha Tillis, in Franklin, Wisconsin. Together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, love, and family. Their union was blessed with four beloved children: Jazarreya, Jalonntay, My'ka, and Lonnie Jr. Being a husband and father was among Lonnie's greatest joys, and he poured his heart into creating lasting memories) offering guidance, and making sure his family always felt loved protected, and supported. Affectionately known as "L." Lonnie embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He loved traveling and experiencing new places around the world, playing his PlayStation, listening to music, attending concerts, watching YouTube, and sharing his passion for cars. Yet above all his hobbies and interests, his greatest love was spending time with his family. Whether celebrating milestones or simply enjoying everyday moments together, Lonnie treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by the people be loved. Those who knew Lonnie will forever remember a man who was constantly striving to grow into the best version of himself. He was the calm in every storm-the steady presence people turned to when life became overwhelming. His wisdom, patience, and quiet confidence brought comfort to those around him, and his strength gave others the courage to keep moving forward. Lonnie also took great pride in his appearance. He enjoyed dressing well and was known for always keeping his beard and hair impeccably groomed. Wherever he went, he carried himself with confidence and style. His signature look-a hoodie paired with his camo backpack-became a reflection of the man everyone recognized and loved. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lonnie Smith; his great-grandparents, Earline and Lillie Lawrence; and a host of beloved cousins, great-aunts, and uncles. Lonnie leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted wife, Tazameasha Tillis-Smith; his beloved children, Jazarreya Smith, Jalonntay Smith, My'ka Williams, and Lonnie Jr.; his loving mother, Gwendolyn Smith; his brother, Shaun Smith; his sister, Dana Smith; and a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by his kindness and love. Lonnie's legacy is one of unconditional love, unwavering strength, resilience, and devotion to family.
