Mrs. Mae Frances Anderson

Almighty God and a band of Angels called Mae Frances Anderson home on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital. Mae Frances Anderson was born to the late John and Rachel (Rowell) Horne in St. Louis, Missouri. She was loved and nurture by McKinley Rodgers. Frances accepted Christ in her life at an early age, and was a life time member of Cross Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. She worked for the Milwaukee County Department of Human Services, where she was a loyal employee and enjoyed her time in a number of different roles including being a mail clerk. She completed her time with the Milwaukee County Department of Human Services and retired after 20 plus years of service. Frances enjoyed sewing, styling hair, gardening, picnicking at Bradford Beach, and traveling. She was a member of the Garden Homes Neighborhood Association, and the social clubs The Go-Getters and The Elks Club. Above all she loved spending time with family, friends, and being a foster mother. Mae Frances Anderson was married to the late Theodore Anderson. This union was blessed with four daughters; Sharlene McFarland of Milwaukee, WI, Joy Pitchford of Milwaukee, WI, Gwendolyn Carpenter of Fort Wayne, IN and Caroline Byrd of Milwaukee, WI. She raised three grandchildren Theodore "Teddy" Ellis, Rachel Nunley, and the late John Tucker. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Anderson, daughter Joy Pitchford, Grandson John Tucker, six brothers Louis Horne, Mac Rodgers, Abraham Rodgers, Charles Rodgers, Roy Rodgers, and two sisters Earline Rose and Evelyn Harrison. She Leaves to cherish her memory beloved daughters Sharlene (Billy) McFarland, Gwendolyn (Robert) Carpenter, Caroline (Eddie: Deceased) Byrd, one sister Christine Patterson, two brothers Earl Rodgers and Ernest Rodgers. Sixteen Grandchildren: Billy McFarland Jr., Sharmaine McFarland, Sharlotte McFarland, Robert Lewis Carpenter III, Gwendolyn Nicole Carpenter, Tanya (Quandel) Dennis, Khalilah Carpenter, Alexander (Charzel) Carpenter, Freddie (Stephanie) Byrd, Daniel Carpenter, Scarlett McFarland, Theodore "Teddy" Ellis, Theodore "Zachary" Byrd, Saniyyah Carpenter, Samantha McFarland and Rachel Nunley, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. The Family would like to acknowledge special nephew and nieces: James "Jimmy" Rodgers, Darline L. Muldrew, and Zalisa McNary; along with a host of family and friends.
