Mr. OC Price

OC Price was born on May 17, 1949, to George Price Sr., Sallie Barnes, and his stepfather, James Randle Sr. in Greenville, Mississippi. OC accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church. OC received his formal education within Milwaukee Public Schools, 9th Street Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School, and North Division High School. After leaving school, OC joined the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged. Later in the 80s, he joined the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. OC was a great scholar and lifelong learner. Whenever the mood struck him, he would go back to school to learn something else. He had several degrees and he encouraged others to pursue knowledge and education. OC was a hardworking man. He began his career at an early age when he and his brother, Dave, started working for their grandfather selling fish back in the late 1950s. OC used his vast knowledge and educational experience to work in several places throughout his adult life, including work in home health care and on HVAC systems. OC was the oldest of ten brothers and sisters, and he absolutely loved spending time with his family. OC also loved to eat. He could be found eating out with family and loved ones at many restaurants around the city. OC was united in holy matrimony with Maretha Bowers. This union was blessed with four children. From a young age, OC was a prolific musician with a special love for the guitar. He truly enjoyed music and is known for being an excellent musician around the city of Milwaukee. OC entertained his family and others with his musical talents. He played for several groups. OC fell ill after doing what he loved most, playing his guitar. OC Price departed this life on June 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his: parents, George Price Sr., Sallie Barnes Randle, and James Randle Sr.; brother, George Jr.: and daughters, Tammy Moore and Lisa Tyler. He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Ocie Moore, Gregory Moore, Tracy Moore (Anthony), Bryant Price (Lazira), Angie Price (Kevin Jr.), Isaac Price, and Octavious Wooten (Kelly); brothers, Dave, James Jr.. and Dennis; sisters, Gloria Miles (Ollie), Bettie Burmester (Donald), Annette Randle, Linda Greer (Aaron), and Vickey Randle; and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many loved ones.
