Mrs. Rukiya D. Jordan

Rukiya Danyette Jordan, born August 18, 1977 to her parents, Frances Tyler Allen and Travis Hankins in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During her childhood, she always attended church with her grandmother, Mrs. Ozell Hankins. As she grew older, she chose to attend Mount Olive Pentecostal Church where her uncle, Bishop Lavell Tyler was the Pastor. Rukiya loved attending church. One day she asked her Aunt Fran if she could sing in the choir. Aunt Fran told her, "yes you can. All you have to do is get baptized in Jesus' name." Rukiya said, "1 can do that" and she did. Bishop Lavell Tyler baptized Kukiya in the name of Jesus. Not many days hense. Rukiya was speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gave her utterance. That means she was filled with the Holy Ghost. Rukiya attended West Division High School. She was a very intelligent woman. She worked for several companies in Milwaukee. In addition to Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company, and her last employer was Equiniti Trust. On April 17, 2004, Rukiya Tyler married Calvin Jordan. Their union was blessed with one daughter; Zion Jordan and one son; Judah Jordan. Her children loved God as much as their mother did. Both of them would always be found in the church on Sundays giving God Praise. Rukiya was a faithful woman of God. Her faithful assignments were Ushering, Singing in the choir, and bringing her children to church. She loved God, her husband, her children, and the Saints of God. After Bishop Lavell Tyler passed away in 2005, Rukiya remained a faithful member of New Mount Olive Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Bishop Raymond Johnson. On Saturday night, June 17, 2024, Sister Rukiya Jordan made her peaceful transition from this earthly life to be with her Eternal God. Rukiya was preceded in death by her father, Travis Hankins; brother, Travis Tyler; and sister, Laura Tyler. To treasure her memory and lament her passing, Rukiya leaves her husband, Calvin Jordan; daughter, Zion Jordan; son, Judah Jordan all of Milwaukee; mother, Frances Tyler Allen; two sisters, La Dawn Herring and Pamala Egnor; two brothers, Trammell Tyler and Jeffery Allen of Las Vegas, NV; six great aunts, Lola Neely, Ethel McCroy; Francis Johnson-Howell, Mozella Wilks, S.L Marshall, and Lucille Hankins; aunt, Rita Hankins; uncle, Daniel Hankins of Milwaukee; and a host of cousins, nephews, uncles, nieces, friends, and the entire Pentecostal Power Church Family.
