Mr. Taft Malone Jr.

Taft was born on December 30, 1942 to his loving parents, Taft Sr. and Bertha Malone. Taft was taught by his parents the meaning and importance of God, family, love, and unity. His older brothers, Art and Bill were role models who demonstrated a strong work ethic and uncompromising values. Sisters, Barbara, Essie, and Iris always kept a watchful eye over their youngest brother, lovingly encouraging him to do his best. Taft is now reunited with his siblings, Barbara, Essie, and Bill in their heavenly home. Taft was an outstanding athlete and excelled in track and field at North Division High School. Many of his teammates applauded his speed and steadiness. On the field, his competitors often said it felt like a swift breeze was passing them by. After graduating from North Division High School, Taft served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Life for Taft was filled with new and challenging work opportunities and many personal projects. He was employed by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's department for 23 years and Malone's Plumbing and Heating for 11 years. After retiring, Taft volunteered at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center. In 1966, Taft embraced the privilege of caring for his step-daughters, Tia Moore and Felecia Roth. Also, in 1976 he cared for his two nieces, Debbie and Lucia Diane. This gives a glimpse of the character of a young man continuing to express the love shown to him and his siblings by his parents. A new beginning of shared love developed when Taft met Karen Berkley. Taft and Karen became husband and wife on December 31, 1983. God blessed them with 31 years oflove, joy, and devotion. The following year their beautiful baby girl, Allison Donielle was born. Taft was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first. Taft knew no strangers. He was that rare person who extended a hand of kindness and respect to people he met. His life was a testimony of his faith and belief in God. Taft will leave a legacy of love for family, compassion for others, support for friends, and a smile on the hearts of everyone that were a part of his life. Taft leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Karen B. Malone; daughter, Allison D. Malone; siblings, Arthur Malone (Sandra) and Iris Malone Young; sister-in-law, Carolyn J. Malone; brother-in-law, Kevin Dwayne Berkley; step-daughters, Tia Moore and Felicia Roth; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends whom he loved dearly.
