Mr. Willie Pervis Wilder

We are gathered here today in the memory of our brother, Willie, so that together we may acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift that his life was to us, and the pain that his passing brings. In sharing the joy and the pain together today, may we lessen the pain and remember more clearly the joy. Willie Pervis Wilder was born December 25, 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the union of Curtis and Ruby Wilder. Willie was just 67 years old when he passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Willie accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. Willie was united in holy matrimony with Brenda Nizer on October 5, 1978 in Decatur Georgia. Their union was blessed with one son. Willie was very close to his family and to his friends. Growing up with Willie as an older brother was eventful, he always shared his life experiences with us, so that we would not make any or the same mistakes. Willie overcame many adversities, he was good to his family and friends, and they were good to him, especially his nephew Donte' who cared and supported him during his last years. Willie was special to all that knew him, he was appreciated by all of us. There were other things besides Willie's love of fashion and classic cars. He was intelligent/quick learner and a trend setter. He enjoyed talking on the phone and visiting with his family and friends. Willie especially liked watching his favorite show Gerry Springer), Westerns and Old Classic Movies. He enjoyed listening to music, Jazz was his favorite (Bumping in the Sunset, Moments in Love) & R&B music. Willie lived an adventurous and exciting life. His love and respect for the ladies that was in his life, stem from the love he had for his beloved mother. Many of you will recall Willie's garden. He enjoyed working in his garden and enjoyed sharing his produce with many of his family and friends, especially his mother who taught him how to harvest. Willie was a man who many would say was a perfectionist, especially when it came to his appearance. He was a friendly man who made his mark in the world not with grand gestures or fancy titles, but by the basic respect and generosity of his character, and how he brought out these qualities in others. Willie lived life until the end. Willie P. Wilder departed this life on October 8, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Wilder; mother, Ruby Wilder; and 2 brothers, Perry and Michael Wilder. He leaves to Cherish his memory: three sons, Kelly Dixon, John Nizer and Willie Johnson (Dessa), 3 brothers, Norman (Shari), Harold and Duane; 1 sister, Jennifer (Derwin) Words; 6 Grandchildren, Raymond, Gabriel and IsabelaJohnson, Alex Neal, Tramayne and Terrell; 1 great-granddaughter, Alexzandra; and a host of very dear nieces, nephews and special friends.
